Random Pickerの使い方
Randomly select one item from a list. Exclusion feature available to avoid duplicates.
What is Random Picker?
Picker selects one item from a list at random. It is the right tool when you have many options (10+) or when you want to run a sequence of draws without replacement — say, assigning 30 people to gift recipients so no one is picked twice. For short lists with visual flair, use the Roulette instead. For deciding the full order of a list, use the Shuffler.
使い方の手順
Enter your list
Paste or type items into the text area, one per line. A spreadsheet column copied directly works fine. Names, prize labels, venue candidates — any text is fine. Empty lines are ignored.
Confirm the list
Click "Add to list" to commit the entries. The right panel shows the current list with a count. You can edit or remove items before drawing.
Pick a random item
Press "Pick random". Every item has equal probability regardless of length. The result appears large in the center so both short and long items are fully visible.
Use exclusion for unique draws
Turn on "Exclude selected items" to move the winner into an exclusion list and prevent them from being picked again. This is how you run a lottery or a gift exchange fairly. Excluded items can be restored individually with "Restore".
A concrete scenario
A 30-person office Christmas Secret Santa
Situation
Previous years used a physical bowl of names, but people sometimes peeked or rigged it with colleagues.
How it played out
Paste 30 names into Picker, enable exclusion, and draw 30 times. Person 1 draws "Tanaka" — Tanaka disappears from the pool. After 30 draws each person has one unique recipient, with no collusion possible. The live draw on a projector adds energy to the party.

Common mistakes to avoid
- 1Using Picker for only 3–5 items — the Roulette is more fun and more visual for short lists.
- 2Running a gift exchange without exclusion — the same person gets picked twice.
- 3Pasting a list with extra whitespace or blank lines — they become separate entries.
- 4Trying to set the full order of a list with Picker — use the Shuffler.
